ENGAGEMENTS

Your engagement session is supposed to be a visual representation of your love as a couple. Often times, couples are torn on whether an engagement session is worth their time or investment and I am here to tell you it’s 100% worth it. Getting engaged is HUGE. Let that soak in for a minute. You just took a massive step as a couple and that deserves celebrating. Life is about to get super fun and beautifully chaotic with wedding planning, so why not take a minute and soak in the simpler parts of being engaged

Aside from honouring your newest milestone with photos, the other perks of having an engagement session is that one; you get to experience what getting photos together is like before your wedding. If you have never had photos taken before, this is definitely the time to get that experience in so that on the day of your wedding, it doesn't feel so daunting. Two, you get to have way more flexibility with your photos compared to the wedding day. Treat your engagement session as a date. Pick out some outfits, choose a location that speaks to both of you, incorporate your pet or hobby that you love and cant perhaps include on your wedding day, and just have fun!!

Your engagement session with me is a breeeeeze. I want the images I photograph of you two to be as honest and authentic as possible so right off the bat know that my goal is for you to be calm cool and collected. You dont need to show up trying to be someone you’re not and you certainly don’t need to have any type of experience with having your photos taken with me. To make your engagement session process simple, I send out an engagement guide as soon as we have booked a day for your session. The guide is filled to the brim on ways you can prep for the session, what outfits you should consider, and most importantly, filling out a mood board with your dream engagement photo ideas.

The day of your engagement session will be fun, I promise! I do my very best to keep the conversations going so there isn’t time to start letting the nerves set in. My style of photography is very much storytelling based which means my focus is documenting everything I see almost as if in a way I was filming a movie rather than capturing images. I prioritize a lot of the surrounding elements to help tell the story of your engagement session and pair it with prompts that will keep you moving and feeling natural rather than stiff and posed.

You’ll have so much fun that you’ll be shocked at just how quickly your engagement session will go by :)
