Summers Eve Engagement

I get to photograph Kiera and Ryan's wedding early October, but I luckily got to photograph their engagement session too! I am such an advocate for booking an engagement session with your wedding photographer because I personally think it is so crucial to know who you’ll be working with before your wedding day. Getting to meet with your photographer before the wedding day ensures you know you’ll jam well with them, and that you can get a vibe for how they’ll shoot your event. Plus, it’s way less awkward come your wedding day if you already have met with your photographer!

I shot this engagement session more so on the documentary side with a little assistance through some fun prompts. Capturing those pure moments of a couple with how they feel their most comfortable is WAY more authentic than forcing them into poses/prompts that they wouldn’t normally do in their day to day life. My absolute main goal with shooting engagement sessions is pulling in those organic moments and letting everything else just fall into place.

This session ended up having such a glowy sunset and I am so here for it! Just a few months to go for K+R’s big day!
