Derrick + Jacqueline’s Countryside Wedding

On a warm August day, Derrick and Jacki said “I do” out on the family farm surrounded by all of their loved ones.

This was easily one of my favourite weddings from the summer because of all the details Jackie dreamt to life. From the cottage core inspired florals, the colour palette, and gorgeous backdrop looking out to Derrick’s family farm, it truly was a wedding for the books! There was so many incredibly sweet moments cherished throughout the day. Memories shared about Jackie’s late father, stories shared about growing up on the farm, and alllllll the animals I personally got to love on, hehe.

One of my favourite photos in this blog is where Jackie is dancing with Derrick’s step father and seen in the background is her sister who is having an emotional moment about their late father not being here but also being so incredibly happy that Jackie could dance with Derrick’s step father instead. You can certainly feel the love within that photo and that is something I am always focusing on while documenting these types of moments. Another memory I hold tightly to this day is while Derrick is reading his vows on promising to care for Jackie, a monarch butterfly appears in the shot. For those that don’t understand what that would mean, it usually is a sign that a dear loved one is looking out for you — a guardian angel if you will.

Overall this day was very dreamy and I could not have loved more how this gallery turned out. Congrats D+J!
